A look at why The Miz deserved better booking at WrestleMania 33 after a year of great matches and promos.

The Miz and Maryse would engrave themselves in a battle of couples as the duo faced WWE’s resident power couple John Cena and Nikki Bella at WrestleMania 33. Of course, without any doubt, the heels would lose the match. Moreover, the entire ordeal would end with Cena popping the big question. Cute as it may be, the fact it the moment wasn’t as much a feel-good one as WWE would have hoped it would be.

Part of the reason for that would be the Miz. Obviously, that is not being hinted at the former IC champion in a bad way. Anyone who has watched the Hollywood A-lister in action over the past year would agree he deserved better than this. If anything, he should have been rewarded for a stellar year with a more meaningful spot on the WrestleMania card. But that wouldn’t be the case this time.

Miz and Maryse sort of jobbed out to Cena and Nikki Bella. The truth is, for the whole proposal angle to work, there was never any need for this match to take place. WWE could have just gone with the flow of the moment and have Cena propose then and there. Having one of the best heels on SmackDown jobbing out to Cena was totally unnecessary. As such, here is a look at three reasons why the Hollywood A-lister deserved to do something more meaningful at the Show of Shows.
