Result: Alberto El Patron wins via pinfall following a double-stomp.

The commentary team was putting Alberto over before the match started. By the time he entered the ring his opponent was waiting for him. Commentary never decided to say his name, they instead continued to put over El Patron and make it known he would be competing at his first Slammiversary in July.
El Jefe then grabbed the mic and called out Bobby Lashley. However, Alberto’s music hit and the crowd chanted “Si!” After 90 minutes of plugging Alberto El Patron, his segment was shorter than the Knockouts Gauntlet.

It makes sense to put over their biggest acquisition but they could give the former Del Rio some real competition. The match was short and so was the promo. If the man is contending for the World Heavyweight Championship shouldn’t he be taking on serious competitors? There are plenty of ways to showcase the main event talent besides squash matches.
