DIY vs. Dylan Miley and Michael Blaze

Result: DIY defeated Dylan Miley and Michael Blaze via pinfall.

With the Revival out of the picture, DIY’s place as the No. 2 tag team in NXT is secure. Will they ever get the tag titles back from the Authors of Pain? Maybe not, but they’ll remain consistent acts for the time being.

For the first portion of this match, it was all about Miley. He got the chance to show off his impressive power and size, which commentary marveled over. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa mostly looked weak against him, making this monstrous man look like a force.

It’s been about two-and-a-half years since we’ve heard Miley’s name brought up. So, he’s been with NXT for a long time, but never received the opportunity to get a consistent chance at Full Sail. That’s clearly changing after this show.

For the second straight match, it’s a showcase of new talent, continuing to highlight what’s trying to be done here. They’re taking this new era seriously, so let’s see what’s in store next.

Ember Moon After TakeOver

A video is played of Moon walking into the Amway Center being taken apart after NXT TakeOver: Orlando. She says her moment was taken away and how Asuka proved she would do anything to keep the NXT Women’s Championship. Moon says she will be the next champion and walks back up the empty ramp.

A unique setting, but that was very well done. Emotion could be felt with Moon disappointed over losing her opportunity to Asuka, who played dirty to win. We’re going to get a rematch, it’s just a matter of when.
