WWE Payback 2017: 3 Potential Opponents for Bayley

Payback will become the playing field for Bayley’s third Women’s Title defense. However, with just over two weeks until Payback, Bayley still doesn’t have a confirmed opponent.

Following the Superstar Shakeup, Bayley has six possible opponents for Payback. They are Alexa Bliss, Dana Brooke, Emma, Mickie James, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks.

Charlotte is no longer in the RAW Women’s Title picture after moving to Smackdown Live. But, there are still a number of viable contenders.

The Wrestling Observer have speculated on Bayley heading into a multi-person match at Payback; that Bayley will defend against Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Alexa Bliss, as well as Mickie James.

However, there’s also speculation that it will be a one on one scenario. Reports range from Nia Jax to Sasha Banks, or even Emma.

With Charlotte now away from the RAW Women’s Championship, hopefully we won’t see a number of alternating short reigns; as we saw with Charlotte and Sasha Banks.

Stability in the Women’s division could be found if Bayley retains for a number of pay-per-views. But, a legitimate opponent to look strong against will be just as important. This will have to start at Payback.

This year’s Payback will be especially important for Bayley. The venue of the event is set to be the SAP Center in Bayley’s hometown of San Jose, California. A good match on her home-turf defense will ensure the strength of the Women’s division this year.
