4 Predictions for WWE SmackDown Live: April 25, 2017

As a result of her victory last week, Charlotte is now the number one contender to the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship. She will face the champion Naomi for the gold on tonight’s episode.

One of the biggest shockers in recent memory came about when Jinder Mahal won the six-pack challenge. Riding a newfound wave of momentum, Mahal awaits his upcoming WWE Championship match against Randy Orton. The two will meet inside the squared circle at Backlash.

Speaking of Randy Orton, he’s set to compete against Bray Wyatt this Sunday in a “House of Horrors” match. What can the Viper expect from this new environment which comes straight from the mind of the Eater of Worlds?

Now that’s he secured a future title shot, AJ Styles has the opportunity to wear gold around his waist once again. The Phenomenal One will eventually face the winner of the Chris Jericho versus Kevin Owens match at Payback.

Since retaining their SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships against American Alpha, the Usos have yet to find new contenders. Perhaps tonight’s episode will give the duo a clearer direction going forward.

Last week, Kevin Owens started a new open challenge for his coveted United States Championship. While a local talent was featured in his last match, maybe he’ll choose to give a rising star a chance. Knowing the Prizefighter though, he could decide easy opponents are the way to go.
