As Backlash looms off in the distance, the Blue Brand continues to progress towards the event. Here is everything you need to know heading into tonight’s jam-packed episode of SmackDown Live:

Due to the controversy surrounding the main event last week, AJ Styles and Baron Corbin are set to compete once again. Their encounter promises to be one of the most exciting moments on SmackDown Live.

Charlotte and Naomi are set to battle for the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship. This match came about when Charlotte managed to defeat the champion in a non-title match this week. Could Charlotte become the first woman to win both the Raw and SmackDown Live Women’s Championships?

Now that he’s managed to become the new number one contender to the WWE Championship, Jinder Mahal has to establish himself as a credible challenger. Expect him to try and make a big impact here tonight.

Shinsuke Nakamura is set to start tonight’s monumental episode with an interview. Perhaps this will mark the time and place where Dolph Ziggler issues a challenge to his recent rival.

A beat the clock challenge has been scheduled to determine the new number one contender to the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships. The team who wins in the shortest time possible will go on to face The Usos, presumably at Backlash.

Two weeks ago, Erick Rowan assaulted WWE Champion Randy Orton and left him down and out on the mat. As a result, tonight will feature these two men going at it in a no disqualification match. Can Randy Orton gain considerable momentum heading into his “House of Horrors” match at Payback?
