Follow along with our review of Wednesday night’s episode of WWE NXT.

On Wednesday night, we had the latest episode of WWE NXT take place from Full Sail University. This featured matches from the post-WrestleMania 33 taping, which should be wrapping up its air time on TV. Another recording went down earlier in April, so we are approaching the crux of the build for NXT TakeOver: Chicago.

Some of NXT’s newest faces were in action. This began with Drew McIntyre. He had his brand debut two weeks ago, and returned for his latest match. It came against Andrade “Cien” Almas, who’s becoming quite the partygoer of late. Would McIntyre go 2-0?

Aleister Black was the other new star in action. He debuted at NXT TakeOver: Orlando, and received his second Full Sail opportunity. Would the Master of the Black Mass succeed?

This episode featured plenty of Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot. Tensions escalated between the two, which began when Cross watched a match of Riot’s earlier this month. They would be booked in a match of their own, so what ended up happening?

The pre-advertised main event had Tyler Bate defend the WWE United Kingdom Championship against Jack Gallagher. It was a way of getting the belt more air time, as WWE waits to put together the weekly UK show. Did Bate win his second title defense?

All of this and more would be seen on this edition of WWE NXT. Let’s see the action that unfolded:
