WWE Payback 2017: Match Order Predictions

WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match: Neville (c) vs Austin Aries

In a rematch of what was arguably the best match on the entire WrestleMania card, I see Neville and Austin Aries opening the show. While the Cruiserweight division and 205 Live have been on the steady rise since Neville captured the championship at the Royal Rumble they must continue to elevate it. The best way to do that, in my opinion, is to have then start the show while the crowd is hot and the sole focus can be on the two men in the ring.

Having a rematch between these two this soon is both a good and bad thing. It’s good because we get to see two great wrestlers in the ring together again. However, if Aries loses, I’m not really sure where he could go from here besides a feud with the newly turned heel TJ Perkins. Neville’s next challenger would be a mystery if he was to beat Aries for a second time, or would it? The currently injured Cedric Alexander has been teasing a return and he has been eyeing a Cruiserweight Title shot.
