WWE Payback 2017 Results: Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss Highlights

Alexa Bliss looks to put a stop to the fairy tale run of the Raw Women’s Champion, Bayley at WWE Payback.
Alexa Bliss was sent to Raw during the superstar shakeup and made an immediate impact. Shorty after her Raw debut, she became the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship. Bliss had won the Women’s Championship twice before on Smackdown Live against a deeper division.
Bayley has the hometown advantage but Bliss is looking to crush the Cinderella story. The usual advantage of being in front of your hometown fans is ironically not as favorable for the person in their town. Bayley beat the unbeatable Charlotte but Alexa Bliss has proven that she belongs in the peak of the conversation.

Alexa Bliss took control early in the match with her dirty tactics. She used the hair and taunted Bayley to gain a physical and psychological edge.

The gritty mind games did not help long as Bayley fought her way back. She used suplexes and attacks on the back to set up for the Bayley to Belly. After her signature diving elbow, Alexa Bliss used the middle turnbuckle to enhance her attack.

Bliss’ missed moonsault knee strike set up Bayley for her Macho Man like elbow drop but it was only a near fall. The high-risk maneuver causes a stalemate with both women down in the middle of the ring.

As they get back to their feet, Bliss runs Bayley’s head into the turnbuckle again. This would prove to be the death blow as Alexa Bliss followed it up with a devastating DDT.

Alexa Bliss defeats Bayley to become the new Raw Women’s Champion. This also makes her the only female competitor to win both the Raw and Smackdown Live Women’s Championships. What did you think of this match from WWE Payback?
