Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley: Part II

As stated earlier in the article, Alexa Bliss made history by winning the Raw Women’s Championship at Payback. She now gets to go down as the first woman to win both brand’s championships. Having impressed with her main roster work since last year, Bliss has continually displayed athleticism and charisma. Already one of the top women in WWE, her career is going to be very promising.

Before she gets settled into her role as champion, Bliss is going to have to deal with some unfinished business first. Although she won the title last night, her win was a result of a head injury that Bayley suffered. Going down in true underdog fashion, the former champion will eventually get a chance to cash in her rematch. Some might think WWE is going to save the exchange for later, but Bayley still has Sasha Banks to contend with soon.

Knowing this, the contest between Bayley and Bliss is probably going to occur tonight. Expect the champion to retain, and in turn she can prepare for a new challenger. Based on the current line-up, one of two possibilities can occur. First, A triple threat match can be set in stone over the next several weeks between Banks, Bayley, and Bliss.

Second, a new challenger could arise in the form of Nia Jax. One of the most dominant female athletes on Raw, a singles match for the belt is long overdue. Unlike the previously mentioned triple threat contest, it’s highly improbable Bliss can defeat this monstrous woman. Either way, exciting things are on the horizon for the division.
