4. Sami Zayn

After the initial brand split, there was an outcry amongst fans to move Sami Zayn over to SmackDown Live. This was because fans believed Sami was not getting the opportunities he deserved and was getting buried on RAW.

The talk among fans grew so loud that this idea was incorporated into WWE television. Daniel Bryan and Mick Foley would tease trading Sami Zayn to SmackDown Live during various segments on both RAW and SmackDown Live.

The WWE higher-ups finally pulled the trigger on the move and sent Sami Zayn to SmackDown Live as a part of the Superstar Shakeup. This is the fresh start that Sami Zayn and Sami Zayn fans have been looking for.

Now that Sami’s officially a part of the blue brand, WWE needs to capitalize on it. Sami should be able to ride the momentum of the fans and take advantage of the thin roster to capture his first individual championship on the main roster.

With his longtime rival Kevin Owens following him over to SmackDown Live, Sami makes for a likely and formidable contender for Kevin Owens’ United States Championship.

After a short period of floundering around the midcard scene while Kevin Owens fends off other competitors, Sami Zayn should receive his push at a big PPV where he will take the belt from Kevin Owens.

The effectiveness of his run as the United States Champion will most likely determine whether his push will continue or get cut short, but the bottom line is that Sami Zayn should receive some form of push in the near future.
