WWE Universal Championship Match
Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman

We already penciled this in for the WrestleMania 34 main event in our match card projections, but after seemingly retiring the Undertaker on Sunday, how do you keep Roman Reigns away from Brock Lesnar for a year?

Lesnar vs. Reigns would be the star-studded, big-time main event WWE craves for SummerSlam. It would be billed as a WrestleMania 31 main event rematch, somewhat similar to the Beast Incarnate’s with ‘Taker at SummerSlam 2015. We saw a somewhat dirty finish there, and may be in store for that again — if Reigns vs. Lesnar is still the plan for WrestleMania 34.

From what we saw just over two years ago, this match has the ability to be a main event for any show. These two had a hard-hitting slugfest, with Lesnar even being busted open. They fought until Seth Rollins cashed in Money in the Bank and won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, leaving these two with unfinished business. That may have to wait, though.

If WWE wanted to, a triple threat here would allow them to hold a Lesnar vs. Reigns singles match off for another eight months, culminating at WrestleMania 34. This won’t particularly bold well for Braun Strowman fans since he’d be a third wheel, but it would still be his first main event match at a “Big Four” PPV.
