Aiden English vs. Tye Dillinger
Result: Tye Dillinger wins via pinfall
Rating: 3.25 out of 5 stars
Right before the next match, Dolph Ziggler reacted to the Shinsuke Nakamura promo that’s been airing lately. He doesn’t understand the hype, and instead, chooses to focus on hurting Sin Cara during their match later tonight.
Now, it’s time to draw our attention to the Perfect Ten himself; Tye Dillinger. Interrupting a song being delivered by Aiden English, he makes it clears he’s ready to compete. Insulted, English waits until Dillinger turns his back to attack him. Shouting insults for the interruption, the heel isn’t able to keep in control of the exchange.
Dillinger strikes back with a forearm, and then takes down his opponent with a clothesline. Fans count his stomps in the corner before crashing English on his knee for the win. The segment ends with Dillinger celebrating the victory as a distraught English reacts negatively to the loss.
Once again, cameras shift to the backstage area where Chris Jericho is participating in an interview. Before it can begin, English arrives on the scene crying over his loss. Jericho tries to cheer him up, but ultimately fails to do so. How does Y2J react to this? Well, he adds both English and Renee Young to The List and leaves the scene.
The next interview involves Charlotte Flair talking about what transpired in the main event last week. For now, the Queen is content working alongside Naomi to defeat their new rivals. However, the time will come for her to achieve her destiny and win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. As the interview concludes, Charlotte is attacked by her opponents. They welcome her to SmackDown Live and say they look forward to seeing her inside the ring.
