Charlotte Flair and Naomi vs. Carmella and Natalya
Result: Carmella and Natalya win via pinfall
Rating: 4.0 out of 5 stars
With a lot of heated tempers on display, this match featured a compelling and enticing story for fans at home and the live crowd. Charlotte Flair and Naomi weren’t going to let the heels get away with what happened last week, and so they put everything they had into dismantling their opponents. Near the end, it seemed like they were going to achieve the win, but once again superior numbers prevailed here tonight.
As Naomi laid waste to all of the women inside of the ring following a hot tag, she received a surreal rush of adrenaline. Nothing was going to stop her, and so when James Ellsworth went on the apron she went right to him to end his interference. Sadly for her and Charlotte, Carmella managed to capitalize and roll-up the Women’s Champion for a surprise victory.
Despite the match being over, the women inside the ring continue to go at it. The numbers game eventually catches up to Charlotte and Naomi, and they are picked apart by their rivals. All of a sudden, Becky Lynch makes her way down to the squared circle. She teases going after Charlotte and Naomi, but ultimately decides to go after the heels.
Although she puts in a solid effort, the Irish Lass is another victim to fall to the superior numbers. The faces are tossed to the outside as the victors celebrate inside of the ring. This is the best the SmackDown Live Women’s Division has looked in a good while, kudos to all the women involved.
