Impact Wrestling: Results and Highlights for May 4

Impact Wrestling starts with Matt Sydal versus Eddie Edwards. This was an amazing showcase of the X-Division and what is represents. There was technical wrestling, submissions, and high flying in this opening contest. Sydal is trying to make an early case for number one contender for the X-Division Championship while Edwards is still trying to fight off his former Wolves brother Davey Richards.
Sienna has been waiting weeks for the appearance of the Global Force Women’s Champion. Christina Von Eerie debuted in Impact Wrestling last week and the match was set. Two established women’s wrestlers set to battle for the GFW Women’s Championship. It is set to be an amazing match to set up a potential unification of the titles for Impact and GFW.

Other potential unifications are the Impact and GFW World Champions. Tonight, Magnus and Matt Morgan battle over the Global Force Wrestling World Championship. Magnus has used the title as a meal ticket to the top of Impact while Morgan sees it as more prestigious than that. Who will be the champion and defend their title in the main event next week?
The main event featured Alberto El Patron and Eli Drake. Drake feels that he has been overlooked in the new regime. He wants a title shot like all the rest of the roster and Bruce Prichard gave him a chance to earn his spot. Alberto El Patron versus Eli Drake for the No. 1 contender spot for the GFW World Championship on next week’s Impact.
