Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox

Result: Sasha Banks defeated Alicia Fox via pinfall

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Bonus points for the continuity from last week, and these two getting a chance to settle their score.

The match itself, well, it wasn’t great. Not bad, either, but just there. With so many different things happening on Raw on any given night, too many matches tend to get lost in the cracks.

The opening part of the match? Terrific. The staredown, the slaps, the Owens/Zayn Memorial Slobberknocker Punch Trade – all good. Also good? Foxy’s Northern Lights Suplex. She is like a savant with that move – and she bridged so hard tonight that she wasn’t even really holding Sasha down anymore.

I also appreciate Foxy and her commitment to being crazy. When the (bald) referee told her to watch the hair, she yelled, “YOU WATCH THE HAIR!” I don’t know why I found that so funny, but I did.

But things took a turn late in the match. Sure, Sasha reversed a tilt a whirl slam into a cross body splash in mid-air. However, overall the match kind of fell apart.

I think it was mainly just sloppiness that got to me. Alicia kind of rolled out of the pin at the end of the match. The referee ignored it, and after the match, it seemed like Foxy didn’t care, either.
