The RAW Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

The tag team turmoil match for a shot at the RAW Tag Team Championships was a perfect way to distinguish which tag teams will be a threat to the division. Sheamus and Cesaro or the internet fans have dubbed “Shesaro” might have cracked another opportunity to face the Hardy Boys but they are not the answer for the long-term direction of the division.

That Revival is the answer for the division on two fronts, first is their record and second is how they were booked before Dash Wilder’s jaw injury. They defeated the New Day on back-to-back episodes of RAW and would have been the favorites to win the turmoil match if not for the injury. Right now they are the only team other than the Hardys to have more wins than losses so far this year.

Meanwhile, in the Rest of the Division

Cesaro and Sheamus had a hell of a showing in the tag team turmoil match but they’ll need to pad up a few more wins to even up their record and look like a threat to the champs. A rematch with Golden Truth or a tune-up match with Slater and Rhyno can sharpen up the No. 1 Contenders and show the fans their attitude wasn’t the only thing that changed.

For the rest of the division, it’s back to square one, teams like Gallows and Anderson will need to wrap up their meaningless feud with Enzo and Big Cass. The rest of the pretenders should be used sporadically as opponents for the contenders in the division.

These are the rankings for the division this week.

  • No.1 Contender: Cesaro and Sheamus (5 Wins – 6 Losses)
