Chris Jericho’s WWE Return Date Revealed
The return date for Chris Jericho has been revealed, following Jericho’s vicious exit at the hands of Kevin Owens.
According to The Sun, WWE is advertising Chris Jericho to return during their tour in Japan on June 30 and July 1. He is expected to return to the SmackDown Live brand to continue his feud with Kevin Owens.
After losing to Owens at WrestleMania 33, Jericho invoked his rematch clause to face him at the following pay-per-view. This time, Jericho would have to switch to the SmackDown Live brand, since the title went over after the Superstar Shakeup. Although most thought Jericho was going to be defeated by Owens and commence his Fozzy schedule, he managed to defeat the self-proclaimed “Face of America,” moving to the blue brand as a result.
Jericho’s second United States Championship run, however, only lasted two days, as Owens was able to recapture the title and brutally assault Jericho to write him off television. In actuality, Jericho was hitting the road to perform with his band, Fozzy.
Over the past couple weeks, Owens has shown that his feud with Jericho is yet to be over, despite having to defend the US Championship against AJ Styles at the Backlash pay-per-view. Owens even stooped to mocking Jericho’s Highlight Reel show by debuting a version of his own during the recent SmackDown Live episode.
At 46, Chris Jericho continues to use his passion for the business, respect for the impact of characters in pro wrestling, and overall stellar wrestling ability to reinvent himself while keeping the fans at the edge of their seats of what is next.

Whether it is a list, a sparkling scarf, or admonishing the audience to “drink it in,” Jericho has admitted that this recent incarnation has been his best run with the WWE in nearly 10 years. Surely, the fans have enjoyed it just as much as Jericho.
