NXT TakeOver: Chicago Predictions

Triple Threat Match for the NXT Women’s Championship
Asuka (c) vs. Ruby Riot vs. Nikki Cross

The build to this match has been good and there should be anticipation for it happening. Neither of these women have been pinned or submitted since debuting on TV so someone’s undefeated streak will end.  Let’s get to the elephant in the room. Asuka was supposed to have a one on one match at TakeOver until she interfered in a number one contender’s battle royal with only Ember Moon, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross left.

Due to Asuka’s interference, an irate William Regal made it a fatal four way that included Ember Moon. However, WWE announced that Moon had suffered a shoulder injury and would not be able to compete at NXT TakeOver: Chicago. It is currently unknown as to whether or not this is a real injury or just part of a storyline similar to Bayley’s last year after NXT TakeOver: Dallas where she missed NXT TakeOver: The End. If I had to guess I would think that it is the latter and they are waiting for Moon’s crowning moment to be in Brooklyn.
