The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division

Highlights of the Division

Breezango picked up a much-needed victory against the Colons on the road to their eventual title match at Backlash. This team has made the most of their opportunities by accumulating some victories and showcasing funny skits to distinguish their wacky characters. They aren’t good enough to defeat the tag champs this Sunday but they are good enough to be presented as a credible tag team moving forward. That could have been the end goal that the WWE wanted from the get-go, building more depth to the tag team division.

The Usos are the premier tag team in the WWE today and their mic skills have come along to perfectly compliment their in-ring style. They have separated themselves as the only team vicious enough to retain their gold and that scenario should come to fruition this Sunday. They’ll remind the world that a team like Breezango might score victories over pretenders like the Ascension or Colons, but won’t light a candle near the direction of the tag champs.

After the match concludes, this should be the perfect time for the New Day to make their debut and challenge the Usos for a title shot. As the only credible tag team left on the roster, the New Day are the only team that can dethrone the Usos and revitalize the rankings once again. Teams like American Alpha won’t have to sit on the shelf and they could compete for an opportunity for a title shot once more.

Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
