WWE Backlash 2017 Predictions

With WWE Backlash set to commence this Sunday in Chicago, we go over our predictions for the outcomes of the matches on the Smackdown Live-exclusive show.

The WWE Backlash pay-per-view will take place this Sunday, live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. The event marks the 13th Backlash event in the company’s history and the second time its been a SmackDown-exclusive PPV

The event was last held back in Sept. and is remembered by AJ Styles winning the WWE Championship. The brand also debuted the Smackdown Tag Team and Women’s Championship.

This year’s event will feature the debut of Shinsuke Nakamura competing in a match on the main roster. He’ll face Dolph Ziggler. Fans will also be treated to a monumental clash, as Kevin Owens faces AJ Styles with the United States Championship on the line.

Along with Nakamura and the United States Championship Match, the event is going be full of SmackDown’s nickname: the Land of Opportunity.

The event will show Jinder Mahal in his first ever opportunity at the WWE Championship against Randy Orton. Along with Mahal going for his first chance at gold, Breezango will also have a shot to win the Tag Titles for the first time when they battle The Usos.
