WWE SummerSlam 2017: Match Card Projections After Backlash

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are destined to fight forever. They did this in Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, NXT, and now the WWE main roster.

Owens and Zayn last had a PPV match at Battleground 2016, putting on a match to be remembered. They connect every time they’re in the ring together and always have the fans invested, no matter how long this feud has lasted.

Coming out of Backlash, Owens still has the United States Championship. He’s in the midst of his second reign and seems set to hold the belt for months to come. If it’s still the case by SummerSlam, yet another match could be in the works with Zayn.

The Underground from the Underground doesn’t have anything clear-cut for the summer. He’s potentially going to be part of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but if he doesn’t win, there’s nothing really there for him. That’s unless KO’s contender spot is still open, which could lead to WWE going back to the feud that always works.
