Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe
Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe has been seen in WWE before. They feuded from November 2015 to June 2016, headlining multiple NXT TakeOver events for the NXT Championship, including a title change in between. It was the first sign of Balor leaving for the main roster, which happened a little over one month later.
The Demon still has his Extreme Rules match to go through, which could make him the No. 1 Contender to Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire. However, it’s difficult to think he can go through someone like that all alone or survive a match against the much bigger Beast Incarnate. So we’ll say Balor doesn’t become the next Universal champion.
If Joe is done with Rollins after Extreme Rules, maybe WWE goes back to this old NXT feud for SummerSlam. It’s still a high-profile program, pitting two top names in one of the biggest undercard matches of the evening. They worked well together in developmental, so let’s see if it can happen on a bigger stage.
