Alicia Fox (w/ Noam Dar) vs. Sasha Banks

Result: Sasha Banks defeated Alicia Fox via pinfall

Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars

Noam Dar is the biggest, dorkiest goofball in WWE, isn’t he? Paying Sasha back for mocking him, he looked like such a dweeb mocking her tonight. It was a good diversion, though, so I guess the ends justify the means.

This was the rubber match between these two, and like all trilogies, the third part was the weakest. Return of The Jedi, The Dark Knight Rises, The Godfather Part 3 – the list goes on and on.

But just because the match wasn’t as good as its predecessors doesn’t mean it was all bad. One of the best things about it was that Sasha was able to win without any of her normal finishing maneuvers. The double knees in the corner is usually just a signature move (although WWE 2K17 has it as an OMG! Move, which is basically a finisher). Any time a superstar wins via non-finisher is good, because it conditions the fans to not wait for a finisher for a potential pinfall.

Afte the match, Sasha slaps Dar because WWE is teasing intergender competition they’ll never follow through on. Foxy makes the save for her man, and nontraditional gender roles rule the segment.

Kalisto Questions Apollo

Old friends from SmackDown (and earlier) catch up, as Kalisto and Apollo Crews shoot the breeze. Titus tries to get Kalisto to join the Titus Brand, but Kalisto thinks Apollo may have been the one to attack Enzo (on behalf of Titus) and refuses. So now there’s a match between the “friends.”
