3. Two Spears and a Jackhammer
For the last two years in WWE, “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar, had destroyed every superstar he has faced. He even went to beat an opponent in the UFC while still sending people to Suplex City in the WWE in the same year! He seemed unstoppable, that was until Goldberg returned. After the release of WWE 2K17 with Brock on the cover and Goldberg as a downloadable character, dream match talks happen.
As a result, the talk and speculation would end after Paul Heyman issued out the challenge to Goldberg. The challenge was gladly accepted, as Goldberg said he has one more spear and jackhammer left in him. This would also be a rematch of WrestleMaina 20, which Goldberg won. Weeks of back and forth promos would air to build up the hype of this match. The WWE Universe was looking for anyone to take down Brock Lesnar. Goldberg, 12 years removed from his last match, was a formidable foe.
However, a trip to Suplex City seemed like the final destination for Goldberg. Fast forward to Survivor Series 2016, the tension was high and these two icons were in the ring. The bell rang and two spears and a jackhammer later, Goldberg beat Brock Lesnar. The arena in Toronto was in awe. The match lasted just a little over two minutes! Brock’s reign of dominance was over. Goldberg chants filled the arena and one of the most shocking wins in WWE history was in the books.
