Jey Uso vs Tyler Breeze

Result: Tyler Breeze wins via pinfall

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars

Instead of presenting just a singles match between Jey Uso and Tyler Breeze, WWE chose to travel down a unique route. The first match involving these two teams took place with the originally slated contest. Thanks to a roll-up, Breeze was able to score a very quick victory over one-half of the Tag Team Champions. While at first fans seemed disappointed, another match quickly took shape.

Fandango vs Jimmy Uso

Result: Fandango wins via pinfall

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars

Although this contest lasted a bit longer than the previous match, the end result was still the same. Fandango scored the win due to a roll-up, which in turn angered the champions even more. Breezango tried to capitalize on the emotion at play by requesting a Tag Title Match on the spot. Eager to compete, The Usos granted the request and the match was made official by the referee and backstage officials.

SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs Breezango

Result: The Usos win via pinfall

Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars

Riding a great wave of momentum, Breezango tried to do everything could to leave the arena with the gold. Keeping the champions at bay with a wide variety of offense it seemed as though they were set to win the match. A pair of superkicks failed to keep Fandango down, and a Uso splash attempt was countered into a pinning predicament. Somehow, the challengers were putting up a fight. Going up to the top rope, Fandango was able to hit his patented leg drop. He wasn’t able to capitalize off the move though, as he received an Uso splash seconds later. That move allowed the Usos to retain their coveted championship.

Moments before the main event, Shane McMahon was approached in his office by the Welcoming Committee and the duo of Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. All of the women present wanted a shot at the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship, so Shane booked a match for next week. The female who wins the fatal-five-way match during the next episode will become the new No. 1 contender.
