The SmackDown Live Tag Team Division
Highlights of the Division
Breezango have had two straight opportunities to capture the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championships but their stock hasn’t been any higher than right now. They have made the most of their title run to expand their comedic personas and turn their matches into entertaining rollercoasters. This team may not have the wrestling acumen of American Alpha or the experience of the New Day—but they manage to create their own niche as a tag team in the division. Who honestly knows what will be next for this duo but Breezango has made sure that they won’t be forgotten for quite a while.
The Usos did their job and showcased themselves as the best tag team in the WWE today. Their matches are off the wall and have the ability to make their opponents look that much better. Kind of steal a page out of the playbook of WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart. The tag champs surprisingly have done more for the division in these few months than American Alpha did previously this year. Which is why we haven’t seen the tag team in weeks.
The New Day made their debuts on Talking Smack and it’ll be interesting to see how they’ll insert themselves in the tag team division. They paid compliments to Breezango on their title chase and were a bit mum on the Usos in general. That should be the rivalry of the summer between those two elite tag teams.
Let’s see the rankings for the division this week.
