2017 hasn’t reached its halfway point, but there’s still been plenty of great WWE matches to watch.

At the end of every year, fans always look back to WWE’s best matches of the year. In 2016, it was DIY and The Revival’s battles, along with John Cena and AJ Styles colliding at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam. Other matchups were featured, too, which made for a fun-filled year of wrestling for the Leader in Sports Entertainment.

For 2017, the halfway point has yet to arrive. However, there’s been a fair share of eye-popping matches seen on WWE programming. From the Royal Rumble to WrestleMania, and even the WWE United Kingdom competitors, fans have witnessed great action.

So as we near June, what have been some of WWE’s best matches to date? Let’s look at the top ones:

9. Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns – WWE Royal Rumble

In what turned out to be an excellent Royal Rumble pay-per-view, Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns may only look like a footnote. They will be off to the side, when considering what AJ Styles and John Cena did, along with the Royal Rumble Match. However, Owens and Reigns put on an excellent showing of their own, as they come in at No. 9.

Owens and Reigns battled in a No Disqualifications Match for the WWE Universal Championship, along with Chris Jericho being suspended high above the ring in a shark cage. It turned into a slugfest, with foreign object spots coming into play perfectly. They played up a few big-time moments, including chair suplexes, being smashed through tables and the use of other items. This made for the eventual spot even more satisfying, including when Braun Strowman arrived to absolutely destroy Reigns.

The wrestling was only a sup-plot to what was going on in the ring, but it played as a great compliment to this hard-hitting affair. It’s probably one of the best No Disqualification matches you’ll see this year, and while there’s a chance this slides off the list, it will at least be a top 20 contest by the end of 2017.
