4 Predictions for WWE Raw: May 29, 2017

Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax vs Bayley & Mickie James

Over the past few weeks, there have been a number of interesting developments that have taken place in the Raw Women’s division. First and foremost, the champion Alexa Bliss has somehow managed to gain the aid of the monstrous Nia Jax. The powerhouse thinks she’s in line for a future title shot, but it couldn’t be any further from the truth.

As long as she remains champion, Bliss knows that Jax is a major threat to her title. So, for the time being, Bliss is probably content making her think otherwise. In the meantime, both Bliss and Jax have been brutally attacking Mickie James. The veteran has been treated very poorly since arriving at Raw, which is a shame knowing that she can still produce in the ring. Age may have impacted her performance somewhat, but matches such as her versus Asuka have proved otherwise.

After her match last week, James was attacked by the champion and a kendo stick. Luckily for her, Bayley was able to rush to the ring and make the save. This may have just been a way to keep fan interest in Bliss versus Bayley, but there’s the possibility more is at play here.

If WWE is taking advantage of the current narrative, it would make logical sense for Bayley and James to team up. Bayley has been seeking momentum ahead of Extreme Rules, and you can bet James wants some payback. Bliss and Jax already have an established partnership, so pairing them up on Raw does make sense. The only problem here is that since there are three younger talents involved, James may be the one to take the fall. Depending on if her current trend downward is to continue, it may not even matter in the long-run.
