Wow, that kind of came out of nowhere. Commentary did play up Bononi before the match, but to get a win?

This could be one of two things: either NXT is ready to give Bononi regular air time, or this was about playing to Almas character. They’ve already established Cien as not always putting full effort into his matches, so was this the case here?

Fans could get a rematch between these two, which gives Almas an easy win to get back momentum, especially after dominating most of the match. If not, then his path will continue to be directionless. Maybe it’s time to give the former CMLL star a look on the main roster if there’s nothing for him to do at Full Sail.
