WWE Extreme Rules 2017: Match Order Predictions

Neville (c) vs. Austin Aries – Submission Match

Am I the only one who doesn’t feel it’s right to have two guys from a Cruiserweight division in a Submission Match?

A better alternative here would have been, oh, I don’t know, maybe a Ladder Match or given the longevity and intensity of this rivalry a TLC Match or a Street Fight.

But here we are—a Submission Match to begin the main card of Extreme Rules.

Looking at the card, this is a match with the least amount of overall appeal, but the presence of Neville will help kick off the show with a solid pop.

Fortunately, both Neville and Aries have submission moves they’ve used as their finishers—the Rings of Saturn and The Last Chancery, respectively.

Neville won this title back at the Royal Rumble, so fast-forward all these months later and an Aries loss at WrestleMania to Neville, and it only seems natural that Aries wins the belt here.

A loss for Neville here could lead to a triumvirate of Aries, Neville, and TJP (I’m as confused as you as to why the WWE likes him).

After what will be a 125-day reign, Neville loses to Aries via The Last Chancery.
