Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe

At Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe walked out as the No. 1 contender to the WWE Universal Championship. It gives him the main event of Great Balls of Fire, Raw’s last PPV before SummerSlam. So if Joe wins there, he’ll likely defend again in August, or if WWE decides to do this match twice, but with Brock Lesnar holding the belt in each instance.

However, with the potential look of the SummerSlam match card, it’s possible the Samoan Submission Machine is nowhere around the title. That means he’ll be finding something else to do, which could feature a matchup with Finn Balor.

Balor looked like he had the opportunity won at Extreme Rules, but Joe ran in and placed the Coquina Clutch on him, with his back turned. So the Demon quickly passed out, introducing the next man to face Lesnar.

If Balor wants revenge, he can target Joe and look for a match at SummerSlam. They can settle the score there, if the gripe being how Joe stole his title chance. It’s a bit heel-ish, but an avenue for WWE to consider if they’re looking for something for either of these two to do in August.
