WWE Championship Match
Jinder Mahal (c) vs. Randy Orton vs. AJ Styles vs. John Cena
A fatal four-way match for the WWE Championship doesn’t seem like an ideal match for SummerSlam, which like WrestleMania, has plenty of one-on-one bouts. However, with all the star power already on the card, what if WWE decides to put four of SmackDown Live’s top Superstars into one match?
Jinder Mahal will walk into Money in the Bank as WWE Champion. Given WWE’s desire to push its product in India, it would be surprising to see him drop the title so soon, even at Battleground in July. So look for him to stay with the belt in August.
Randy Orton probably won’t leave the title scene overnight, and could at least stick around until SummerSlam. He still has a rematch for it, but would make sense to remain in the picture, given his name value to a potential match.
AJ Styles will always be able to make his way into the WWE Championship picture. The same goes for John Cena, who has yet to return from his latest hiatus. Putting them into another singles match at SummerSlam would tear the house down, but at this point, something fresher could be used for these two.
