With Extreme Rules over, how could the upcoming WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view look?

On Sunday night, the Extreme Rules pay-per-view passed. However, it means fans get to move on to the next Raw show, known as WWE Great Balls of Fire. Yes, it’s that Jerry Lee Lewis song, which played during Extreme Rules.

The match card for Great Balls of Fire already has one match set, which is the main event. WWE already advertised Brock Lesnar’s first Universal Championship defense for this, but who will he face? How about for the other matches on the show?

With five or six more bouts still needed to be set, let’s go into the potential pairings fans may see on July 9. Who will contend for the Raw Women’s, Tag, and WWE Cruiserweight Championships?

Enzo Amore and Big Cass vs. The Revival

On paper, this looks like a random matchup for Great Balls of Fire. That’s if the recent attack on Enzo Amore isn’t being factored.

On the second-to-last episode of Raw in May, Amore was attacked backstage. However, the assailant was never shown. All anyone saw was Big Cass looking to see who did it and angrily confronting Kurt Angle about it.

A short time later, The Revival snuck on camera in the background of an interview, so it led fans to believe it was them. That seems too easy of a giveaway, but Amore may believe it was them and make a challenge for a match as revenge.

At Great Balls of Fire, these four could have a match, which sees The Revival pin Amore for the win. This leads to Cass doing a post-bout beatdown on one-half of the Realest Guys in the Room and revealing the backstage attacker was him. That will start up a feud for the summer, pitting two long-time friends and tag team partners, and having them go head-to-head at SummerSlam. It could be the personal feud, to a lesser degree, that Tommaso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano could have been.
