As Money in the Bank approaches, the men and women of SmackDown Live prepare for another historic episode. Here is everything you should know heading into tonight’s event:

Upon their arrival to SmackDown Live last week, the New Day set their sights on the Tag Team Championship. Interrupting the Usos’ during an in-ring promo, their presence instantly helped to elevate the tag team division.

Moments before the number one contender’s match for the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship began, all five women engaged in a highly physical brawl. The result left the match in shambles, but it impressed Commissioner Shane McMahon. Rewarding them for their hard work as of late, he announced they will all compete in the first ever female Money in the Bank ladder match.

After the announcement was made, Lana decided to request entry into the match on social media. Will her return to WWE begin with an appearance in this historic contest?

Two weeks ago, Sami Zayn was assaulted by Baron Corbin following a match between the two. When it was all said and done, damage he received made fans wonder about his status for the male MiTB ladder match. Thankfully, his return to the Blue Brand last episode put an end to those concerns.

For two consecutive episodes, Kevin Owens has been pinned in the center of the ring by Shinsuke Nakamura. Although these losses occurred in tag team matches, Owens may have to defend his United States Championship against the King of Strong Style in the near future.

By standing tall over AJ Styles in his last contest, Dolph Ziggler has proven that he can still achieve big victories. Is this a sign of things to come for the Showoff?
