The RAW Women’s Division

Highlights of the division

With her successful title defense at Extreme Rules, Alexa Bliss might potentially be starting a feud with Nia Jax and Sasha Banks down the line. They are the only true contenders left in the division who still haven’t gotten their fair shake of opportunities for the championship. It seemed a little rushed that Jax got a title shot right away on RAW instead of slowly teasing her the opportunity for Great Balls of Fire. The fact that she got a disqualification victory over the champ should add more credence for another championship opportunity.

As for Bayley, the flaws of her Extreme Rules performance should be a storyline the WWE should pursue. She’s the only challenger with a horrible win/loss record and no upward direction to the championship. A feud with Alicia Fox or Emma making fun of her championship shortcomings could be what the doctor ordered for the former champion. As the top babyface of the division, Bayley needs to be shown as a competitor that rises from all the doubts and hate that surround her defeats.

It’ll be interesting to see how Mickie James and Dana Brooke are involved in the championship picture after what transpired on RAW. It’ll be a mistake to include two pretenders in the title hunt when they haven’t consistently proven to earn their place for a title opportunity.

These are the rankings for the division this week.
