5 Worst WWE Money in the Bank Winners of All Time

2. John Cena
It may come as a surprise that one of the most well known and successful WWE Superstars of all time is number two on a list of “Worsts”. Well, he is number two on this list for three reasons.
First off, the problem is that John Cena was already a huge star and just main evented WrestleMania. There was no need for him to win the briefcase since he was already involved in the main feuds in the WWE and was in the world title hunt.
Second of all, Cena announced when he would be cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase, which took all of the fun out of the power of the briefcase. It lost its unpredictability and psychological advantage, and his world title match just became another match.
Lastly, Cena did not even end up winning the championship when he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase, and it was not even a clean finish. The match ended when Big Show interfered in the match and attacked Cena. This caused Cena to win by DQ, and CM Punk retained his title.
The inclusion of the Money in the Bank briefcase made absolutely no difference in any storylines or in Cena’s career. His Money in the Bank win was proven to be pointless as Cena did not win the title yet remained in the main event scene.
With all of the young up and coming talent that could have used the briefcase, it still puzzles me as to why John Cena would be chosen to win the match.
