Seth Rollins with the heist of the century!

I’m really not sure how WWE will ever be able to top this Money in the Bank cash in. Not only was Rollins the first ever to cash in in the middle of a match, but he also cashed in in the main event of WrestleMania to defeat both Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Many thought that Roman Reigns would end up getting a clean win over Lesnar despite the crowd’s disapproval. In fact, that was WWE’s initial plan for the match, but WWE reluctantly called an audible and went with their backup plan of having Rollins win.

It did not disappoint. After a mediocre back and forth affair between Reigns and Lesnar, Rollins cashed in while both competitors were knocked down.

We then saw attempted curb stomps, spears and F-5’s until Rollins connected with a curb stomp on Reigns in the middle of the ring. He covered him and left WrestleMania 31 holding the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins, even though he was a heel, garnered huge pops when he showed up and when he won the title. It is definitely a WrestleMania and Money in the Bank moment that will be remembered fondly for years to come.
