Cedric Alexander vs. Noam Dar

Result: Cedric Alexander defeated Noam Dar via pinfall

Rating: 0.5 out of 5 stars

Before the match, we get more of the drama from the Cedric-Dar-Fox love triangle. This time it’s happening via Skype or something. Ugh.

As Dar makes his way down to the ring, Raw makes use of the Tyler Breeze Titantron effect, with Alicia Fox on Skype on the big screen. Honestly, the less said about the non-match parts of this, the better.

Problem is, the whole segment is based on this stupid relationship. As soon as Dar puts down his phone, we get a cruiserweight version of the Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus world title match at WrestleMania 28. Dar walks right into a Lumbar Check, and is immediately pinned.

Without going into how stupid it was to change to the purple ropes for this, let’s talk about how bad this makes everyone look. Alicia Fox looks like a typical crazy girlfriend, something that I figured at some point she’d evolve out of. Noam Dar looks like a spineless, sniveling weasel – not always a bad thing for a bad guy, but it’s not a good look on him. Cedric Alexander looks like an opportunistic jerk who claims he’s over his “ratchet” ex, but clearly isn’t because everything he does comes back to be centered on her.

It’s time for a hard reset on this segment of the cruiserweight division. At least Noam has a second love to fall back on, as well.
