When we return from another commercial break, the next SmackDown Live segment features WWE Champion Jinder Mahal. As he makes his way to the ring, the cameras show that the squared circle is covered with a massive rug. No doubt due to the Mahal’s lavish lifestyle, he enters with the Singh Brothers alongside him.

This Sunday, Mahal is intent on proving that Randy Orton is nothing more than a coward. He knows that the Orton family is going to be present at Money in the Bank, and the Maharajah cannot wait to remove their legacy from WWE history. To cap things off, he states how the Viper is truly scared of him.

Having heard enough of the tirade, Orton’s music hits drawing a strong crowd reaction. Unwilling to fight here tonight, Mahal sent the Singh Brothers to combat him. Rather than entering through the entrance ramp, the Viper snuck through the live crowd. Catching the WWE Champion by surprise, Orton leveled him with an RKO outta nowhere. Leaving back through the crowd, Orton celebrated as the Singh Brothers checked on Mahal.

For the first time since his meteoric rise to the top, WWE decided to let Mahal stare at the bright lights. Letting the Viper have this moment was a smart decision, as now fans know the Maharajah is in for a tough fight.

After the segment, the cameras turned their focus to the backstage area once again. This time, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and Kevin Owens were all present. Offering a one-night truce, the Prizefighter suggested that the trio only damage their opponents here tonight. That way, they can all go into Sunday healthy as can be.
