4. Naomi Loses the Women’s Championship

We are scheduled for a Women’s title match between Lana and the champion Naomi. It would be one of the biggest stories of the night if Lana were to upset Naomi and win the title. While I am taking away any credit from her ability to be a future star, Lana lacks the in-ring experience required for the title holder at this point. However, that doesn’t mean Naomi might walk out of WWE Money in the Bank 2017 as still the women’s champion.

I have a strong feeling the winner of the historic match would eventually cash in her briefcase on the same night. After all, Sunday is all about making history. When the story of the first ever women’s Money in the Bank ladder match would be told in the future, a cash-in on the same night would make it seem even more chaotic and unpredictable. This would especially be true if one of the faces on the roster wins the briefcase.

The match between Lana and Naomi could exist as an independent entity. Lana, being the heel in the storybook, despite being tremendously over with the crowd up on her debut, could try every cheap trick and cheat. She can look for ways to hurt the champ which might play a role later in the match. Naomi might fend off Lana’s challenge in the end but could fall prey to the Money in the Bank contract.
