The RAW Mid Card Division

Highlights of the Division

Elias Samson is officially a contender in the mid-card division after his victory over Dean Ambrose on RAW. He’s been the most consistently booked and protected superstar on the roster based on his upside as heel and the crowd reactions he garners. The Drifter is being portrayed as an old-school villain that legitimately doesn’t want to be cheered the way guys like Kevin Owens endured every week.

Dean Ambrose has been on a losing streak and his value as a top-tier talent is rapidly decreasing. The former WWE Champion is sporting the exact same record the Miz has but the difference is that the A-Lister is holding the Intercontinental Championship. Based on his credentials, Ambrose should be a full-fledged contender for the Universal Championship but his lack of character growth and horrendous booking might label him a pretender in the mid-card division.

The rivalry between Apollo Crews and Kalisto has been fun to keep it simple. It’s kept both men active in the hunt for the Intercontinental Championship while developing some semblance of a character for Crews. The Titus Brand definitely has some legs if Apollo progresses up the rankings and entice other superstars to join as well.

These are the rankings for the division this week.
