Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Carmella vs. Tamina

For the first time in history, there will be a Money in the Bank ladder match for the women of SmackDown Live. Five superstars will attempt to be the one who goes in the record books as the first Ms. Money in the Bank in WWE history.

If it wasn’t the first women’s MITB match, my initial thought would be that, somehow, James Ellsworth would climb the ladder and end up with the briefcase. It’s just the kind of thing that seems so stupid it can’t not happen. But if history is up for grabs, there’s no way something like that would happen.

In that case, there’s no clear-cut favorite, if you ask me. Charlotte may seem to be the one to beat, but since arriving on SmackDown she hasn’t been as dominant as she was on Raw. There’s nothing stopping her from winning, but the same could be said for everyone in the match (yes, even Tamina).

I think that SmackDown does a good job of keeping people on their toes, avoiding the seemingly obvious choices for winners. Because of this, Charlotte and Becky Lynch are probably out – many people think they’re the favorites. But I see Carmella as the dark horse here. Ellsworth will most likely be at ringside causing a distraction (and probably getting beat up in the process), and that will be the edge the Staten Island Princess needs in this one.
