With the help of James Ellsworth and in controversial fashion, Carmella won the first ever Women’s Money In The Bank ladder match and captured the briefcase. When should she cash in?

Carmella was actually a favorite to possibly win the first ever Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match, along with Charlotte. Smackdown Live continues to boast it is the land of opportunity so Carmella capturing the briefcase makes sense. It was a controversial finish, however, as James Ellsworth did climb the ladder and get the briefcase for her. A very strange and heelish ending for a hyped up match, but that does not change the fact that Carmella is the first Miss Money In The Bank.

The gimmick of the briefcase works best when it is in the possession of a heel, Carmella and James Ellsworth are the perfect baddies and the win just helps with both of their characters. Already Carmella teased a cash in later on at the PPV event during Naomi’s Title defense against Lana. She did not go ahead with it, however, this is likely what we will see a lot of moving forward, teases but no cash in.

That is what makes it a very fun device and it adds to programming and keeps the suspense running as to when it will actually get cashed in and whether it will end up being successful. The success rate is high, but since this is a first for the women’s the rate of victory remains to be seen. Carmella is absolutely destined to be a future Smackdown Women’s Champion, and it is really only a matter of when now.

So when should she cash in, what opportunities should she take to grab that title for herself?
