Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley reformed their tag team on the latest episode of SmackDown Live. This was Ryder’s return, after being away for six months with a knee injury.

This team felt destined to implode after Tuesday’s segment, especially following Rawley’s midcard singles run this spring. It wasn’t anything special, but he received the chance to be on his own and didn’t do horribly. Plus, the SmackDown Tag Team Division is somewhat crowded.

Despite this being Ryder’s first match back, it became a showcase for Rawley. He received ample time in the ring, while the Broski took most of the offense that The Colins delivered.

It was an easy win for The Hype Bros. The Colons are nothing more than fodder for other tag teams, playing this same role for the past four or five years. It also helped that babyface teams rarely lose on Kickoff Shows.

Rawley and Ryder should get a title shot soon, depending on what happens with The Usos vs. The New Day. Might that cause the eventual breakup?
