SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match
The Usos (c) vs. The New Day

Result: The Usos retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship via countout.

Rating: 3.0 out of 5 stars

The first SmackDown PPV match for The New Day, who joined the brand a few weeks ago. They received a title match without a No. 1 Contenders bout.

The majority of this match saw Kofi Kingston take offense from The Usos. But, it led to Big E’s hot tag, which is something these tag matches missed. It also gave everyone the dive-through-the-ropes that Big E often does, when he looks like he’s about to break his neck.

The Usos looked to be on the brink multiple times, with New Day hitting their finishers. It led to them leaving the match and taking the countout.

It’s not the worst finish. The Usos couldn’t get anything going for the last half of that match, so they took their money and ran.

However, back-to-back matches with chaotic finishes, especially in the first two bouts of the evening, won’t make anyone excited for the rest of the show. There’s still plenty of time left to make up for it, but so far Money in the Bank hasn’t done anything to make fans interested in watching SmackDown.
