At Money in the Bank, Naomi escaped the debuting Lana and retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship. This is despite the speculated possibility of the Ravishing Russian pulling off a surprise win in her first singles match.

Now, Naomi has to fend off future challengers and Ms. Money in the Bank, Carmella. How will this come into play at SummerSlam, though?

Usually, the Money in the Bank holder doesn’t get a title shot before cashing in (unless it’s Seth Rollins at Royal Rumble 2015). So if Naomi is still champion at SummerSlam, don’t expect Carmella to be involved in a match.

Instead, look for Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch getting involved in a bout. It’s three faces going head-to-head-to-head, but also the biggest names from the Smackdown Women’s Division. They can put on a fun Triple Threat match, which then leads to the Princess of Staten Island cashing in her briefcase.

It’s a prime heel moment for a cash-in, and could go for any of these three that win the match at SummerSlam. Maybe it’s Lynch, who doesn’t get her shining moment often, and is also a face fans can sympathize with.
