2. Dean Ambrose

If Cass does in fact take on The Big Show out of the gates, and after all, it makes sense, Ambrose may be a perfect logical follow-up feud.  Currently trying to reclaim his Intercontinental title from The Miz, “The Lunatic Fringe” will be tied up for awhile.  That will give time for Cass to close the book on the Enzo feud, take down The Big Show, and then look forward to bigger and better things.  Engaging in a feud with a former world champion and top-level babyface would be a ringing endorsement for the new heel and would really give Cass the chance to show if he can excel in that role.

On top of all that, this would be a brand new feud, something that can always be exciting.  Outside of working a couple of six-man tag dark matches together last summer, Cass and Ambrose have virtually no history with each other.  And yes, sometimes digging up old skeletons can be an engrossing way to add fire to a feud, but it’s always refreshing to see what two guys can do with a fresh slate.

An interesting piece to this could be if Ambrose is successful in recapturing his Intercontinental title.  A program between the two over a secondary title would be a massive step in the right direction for Cass.  And another thought: what if Cass is just added to the Ambrose/Miz rivalry?  It’s clearly one of the better, if not the best rivalries going right now on RAW, and potentially adding Cass into it would be a huge deal for the 30-year-old Queens, New York native.  Imagine a Miz/Ambrose/Cass triple threat match for the IC title at Summerslam?  I could get behind that.
