Ealy Brother vs SAnitY

Result: SAnitY defeats Ealy Brothers via Springboard Neckbreaker

Rating: Squash

With one-half of SAnitY focusing on singles competition, the remaining members set their sights on establishing themselves as a dominant tag-team. Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe squared off against Ealy Brother. Nothing gained nothing earned in this match, it was a squash.

I am not a fan of squash matches, especially when WWE seems to be trying to develop a legitimate team. The bigger, and much more intimidating Ealy Brothers, were completely overwhelmed by SAnitY from the bell. Despite this, with SAnitY, Heavy Machinery and AOP it looks like the NXT tag division is in good hands moving on from #DIY and The Revival.

Asuka vs. Ruby Riot vs. Nikki Cross Review

We took a look back at last week, where Nikki Cross and Asuka began brawling all throughout the arena. This culminated in a brutal table spot that saw both competitors exhausted, battered, and broken on the floor.

You’re going to want to stay tuned for next week as Nikki Cross and Asuka battle it out once again in a Last Women Standing match for the NXT Women’s Championship. My only hope is that Ruby Riot doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.

Sonya Deville Vignette

Before her in-ring (re)debut, we get another hype video for the mixed martial artist. “Time to put you hair up and square up, ” is the motto she lives by.

I personally think Sonya is excellent, and truly inspiring. As a contestant on the last season of WWE’s Tough Enough, Sonya (real name Daria Berenato) came out as being lesbian during her in-ring interview. She was eliminated 3rd in the contest. Despite that, WWE saw enough from her to sign her to a developmental contract.
