The RAW Women’s Division

Highlights of the Division

Nia Jax and Sasha Banks were supposed to have a match which could have determined who would face Bliss for the title. The fact that the match ended in a DQ for Jax will still keep her at the top of the division. The title picture has been murky since Extreme Rules and nobody is sure on who’s supposed to face the champ at the upcoming pay per view.

Pretenders like Mickie, Dana and Emma shouldn’t be throwing their hats in the ring for a title opportunity when they aren’t even in a contending position. All three women haven’t been consistently winning and moving up the rankings to be thought of as championship contenders. Out of the three, Emma looks like she has more upside into breaking out as a full-fledged contender but will need to demonstrate that in the next few weeks.

This would be key in getting Bayley away from the title picture by engaging in a feud with Emma. At this moment it looks like the entire division if aiming for the gold, which is a huge mistake. Bayley already had her shot and the three pretenders haven’t earned any opportunity to speak of. Great Balls of Fire is rapidly approaching and Bliss will need a new challenger for her title match—not the entire division.

These are the rankings for the division this week.
